Compare fantasy hockey players in your league
Two players with similar fantasy points per game can produce different value after schedule, lineup congestion, position scarcity, and multi-position eligibility are considered.
Example: same games, different value
From Oct 4 to Nov 2, the Rangers and the Blues both play 12 games. For the Rangers, 6 of those games fall on off-nights; for the Blues, 0. Two similar players on those teams look tied on games played, but the first is far more likely to find a lineup spot on the nights he plays. A comparison counts that difference.
What a comparison accounts for
Points per game is where a comparison starts. Cracked Ice then scores both players with your league's categories, checks how many of their remaining games your lineup can actually use, and weighs the games that fall in your fantasy playoffs.
Position matters too: a center who is also wing-eligible fills more lineup holes than one who isn't, and a thin position raises the value of the better option.
The verdict explains which of those factors decided it, so you can overrule it when you know something the numbers don't.
